Biography

Born in 1977, Gilad Slonim is married and the father of five. He is the founder of Balance Wealth Management, driven by a singular mission — to help families achieve lasting financial peace through disciplined value investing. His vision is anchored in the belief that financial security should be built through a holistic approach, free of product-driven biases and short-term market chasing. Gilad’s career began in 2005 as a licensed Israeli insurance agent, where he guided hundreds of families toward greater financial stability. This work exposed two deep frustrations: the lack of an integrated wealth management solution tailored to families, and the tendency of many investment managers to pursue short-term returns instead of relying on the proven principles of value investing. From 2005 to 2014, Gilad served as Director of Life, Pension, and Health Insurance at Slonim Insurance Agency, managing a team of seven and serving thousands of clients. In 2010, he also became CEO of Epoch Times Israel, establishing a high-quality magazine that broadened minds and encouraged independent thinking. In 2014, he stepped into the role of CEO of Slonim Insurance Agency, overseeing 17 employees and continuing to accompany families through all stages of life — from retirement planning and pension portfolio management to handling complex insurance claims. His in-depth work with hundreds of families cemented his understanding of the need for a truly comprehensive approach to wealth management. This vision took form in 2018 when he founded Balance – Planning a Better Future in Israel, a firm dedicated to helping families manage every aspect of their financial lives holistically. In 2025, Gilad expanded internationally, launching Balance Family Wealth Management in the United States. This new venture is committed to bringing disciplined, long-term value investing to American families, including those with cross-border financial interests between Israel and the U.S. Earlier in his career, Gilad gained experience outside the financial sector, working from 2003 to 2005 as an instructor at Beit Elam Hostel, Youth Sponsorship Authority, and from 2002 to 2003 providing consulting, treatment, and training in astrology. Gilad’s foundation in leadership was forged during his military service from 1996 to 1999 in the Israel Defense Forces’ Artillery Corps, where he served as a regular soldier, rookie commander, team commander, sergeant, and ultimately lieutenant colonel. In 1998, he was honored with the President of Israel’s Award for Excellence. Today, Gilad continues to lead Balance Wealth Management with integrity, discipline, and a long-term vision — guiding families toward enduring financial security in both Israel and the United States.
